- Is Fiberlining a vinyl liner?
No, vinyl liners have no structural strength and have many inherent problems such as puncturing and tearing. Fiberlining is a hard, a brand new fiberglass pool with tremendous structural strength.
- Does Fiberlining adhere to all surfaces?
Yes. Because of specially engineered properties of our materials, we can adhere to steel, concrete, wood, gunite, aluminum, etc.
- What is it made of?
Sophisticated specially blended and reinforced resins.
- Does the pool have to be drained and cleaned after "Fiberlining"?
No, indoor and outdoor pools should remain filled with water. No more cost of replacing water each season.
- Can I use the same chemicals that I am already using?
Yes but less. There can be a 40% savings on chemical usage.
- How long will the lining last?
Many years.
- Do I have a warranty?
Yes
- I heard that I should cover my pool in the winter. Is this true?
Yes, it makes cleaning and the spring start-up easier.
- Will the Fiberlining stop my pool from leaking?
Yes! Fiberlining is a brand new monolithic, one-piece, fiberglass pool.
- How long has Pool Technologies been in business?
Since 1985
- Does the Fiberlining hold up in outdoor freeze and thaw conditions?
Absolutely! The materials and process are designed by graduate engineers that have taken the thermal conditions in to account.
- Why is Fiberlining better than plastering?
First, Fiberlining is a long lasting solution - 15-25 years are warranted - while plastering may last only a few years.
Second, Plaster is a porous cementateous material that provide algae a place to grow, while Fiberlining is impervious prohibiting algae to grow.
Third, there are many other advantages to Fiberlining over plaster. Some of which are:
- No cracking or pitting
- No leaking
- No joints or ceramic tile
- No chemical reaction
